These are my buys for July 2018 + Milestone reached!

Ah yes, a short and sweet post. I only posted my June results in the previous month and nothing more. I did however make a few buys last month and commented on a few of your blogs when I felt like it. For example on Engineering Dividends after being mentioned in his poem. I mean how often do you get to be in someone’s poem right? I also visited Tom over at Dividends Diversify, as he always has some great content there.

The reason for this “inactivity ” is simple: Vacation.

I’ve spent the last few weeks in the beautiful southern of France.

But right before I left I made some nice buys. Since this is a short and sweet post I won’t add the rationale this time, but be free to ask in the comments and I will happily explain my thoughts on the matter.

In total I added:

11/07/2018: 6 shares of AbbVie (ABBV) @ $95,24 adding $23,04 in forward income.

13/07/2018: 18 shares Pfizer (PFE) @ $37,25 adding $24,48 in forward income.

16/07/2018: 16 shares Iron Mountain (IRM) @ $36,50 adding $37,568 in forward income.

In total I added ($85,088-15%) $72,32 of forward income (post-tax) crossing the infamous $500 dollar threshold! I added 16,6% of forward income, completing the challenge set by BuyHoldLong.

So there you have it guys and gals, my new total forward income is now $435.78 +$72,32 = $508,10!

  1. Fantastic work mate. You’ve absolutely killed it this month. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing more buys soon.

    1. Thanks BHL! I wish I have this kind of capital to deploy every month. In any other month it would have been very difficult for me to create the same growth with just 500€.

  2. Great buys there. I love ABBV, a fantastic dividend payer (and grower!) so far.

Iron Mountain and Pfizer are also on my list, but never quite found the entry point I like. Need to do some more research I guess!

    Take care!

    1. Hey Tall! I woud have like all enter point to be lower (they were) but thought hey in a few years time it doesn’t even matter that much. So now my money is in the market and churning out dividends. 🙂

  3. Good to hear from you Mr. R! I was thinking about you a couple weeks ago and since you mention France I will bring it up. And, thank you for the mention, by the way!

My wife and I like to watch the Tour de France. We watch every stage at night on on our DVR to skip the commercials and get to the good stuff. The day the riders were going up Mont Ventoux (I think), the commentators kept mentioning the Dutch corner. Where all these crazy Dutch people party it up and cheer on their favorite Dutch riders.

So now that I know you were in France, I bet I saw you on TV in the Dutch corner. Were you the guy running around in a speedo or the guy dressed up in devil outfit with the pitchfork? 🙂

I hope you had a good time. France always looks so beautiful when we watch the tour.

    1. Hahaha although I like a good party and have been running around in speedos lately (pool requirement) it wasn’t in the Tour de France. Sorry to disappoint! 🙂

Quite frankly I really don’t like watching cycling or the Formula 1 for that matter. I like competing in sports, watching them….not so much.

The vacation was great, recharged my batteries and caught up on some reading. Going back to work today was so hard!

  4. Nice buys Mr. R, and it sounds like you enjoyed some nice time off in France (despite not being spotted on TV by Tom, haha)!

I’m a fellow shareholder in ABBV, and IRM is on my radar to buy soon in my rollover IRA. Great to see you break through that $500 level in forward dividend income!

  5. That’s a nice boost to your forward dividend income, Mr Robot! Congrats on reaching the $500 mark. Looks like you needed a break in France to recover from all that purchasing you were doing. 🙂
I like all the purchases… some outstanding companies that should serve you well.
Thanks much for the mention. I was very happy to incorporate “Mr. Robot” into the poem, by the way. Maybe there will be another poem in the future.
