August 2021 Dividend Report

Summer has come and gone and we are living in the final days of nice weather. Hopefully we’ll get a nice “after-summer” but I’m not holding my breath even though I’m typing this in about 24 degrees celsius 🙂

Here are my results for Augusts 2021:

TickerAmount (€)
T26.05
GIS3.64
CVS10.01
TXN7.39
ABBV28.28
OHI13.04
PG5.02
HRL1.76
O3.9
Total99.09
Darnit, so close to the 100,- mark

9 companies deposited their dividends into my brokerage account, ready to be reinvested (manually) in other or the same dividend stocks. No new payers this month and no real additional shares bought in these existing positions. I had hoped (and not calculated) that my sub 100,- months would be over but here we are, problems of luxury for sure! 🙂

Here are the visuals (I included larger images this time, hope you like it!):

Look at the pretty colors!

And working towards my 2021 goal of €1750 in dividends received:

We need those big months (September & December) to make it!

And (inspired by Engineering Dividends) a new graph with my annual dividend totals:

Heading towards last years total with 4 months to go!

It’s not that far removed from the €115,34 last month. We’re done with month #8!

August 2020€106,53
August 2021: €99,09

A decrease crease of -8,89% compared to last year, due to a change in payout schedule (which will hit next month ;)). Nevertheless annoying to see negative numbers!

The progress is still very real even though this is already my fifth year as a dividend growth investor since starting back in March of 2017 (with a monthly total of €1,98).

As always my results are converted from their base currency to euro and are post-tax.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the awesome results of this month and ofcourse on your own results. Please let me know in the comments!

    1. Yes, it’s just delayed. I never really investigated why companies change their payout schedule. I’m assuming it has something to do with taxes or something.

  1. Hi Mr Robot
Congrats on another solid month! Never mind the slight YoY decrease, I see the same with my portfolio, payout dates change and in particular comparing to 2020 is sometimes a tricky one. What is important to see over the years solid organic growth which can seen nicely with your passive income machine.
Keep it up and all the best.

  2. It’s definitely no fun dipping below $100 again after thinking that you had crossed that threshold for good. Those darn dividend payment shifts! Still, it’s a small bump in your road to FI.
The progress is looking good. You seem to be in line to meet your goals, so that’s terrific. I look forward to your 2021 dividend totals surpassing those of 2020.

    1. Hey ED thanks for dropping by!

September is going to be monster month, so I’ll come really close to matching 2020 totals. October I’ll definitely cross that one!

  3. Sucks to see that decrease this month after so many increases. but knowing that its only a technical error (rather than the company paying out less), makes it nothing to worry about!

It’s so cool watching the annual dividends grow over time! Make sure you keep doing it so you can look back in another 5 years.
