January 2020 Dividend Report

So I hope everybody had an amazing start of the year! It’s been incredibly busy at work and with Lil’Bot and BabyBot growing like cabbage (translated that from a Dutch saying) we never have a dull (or quiet :)) moment.

Thankfully my portfolio is doing the work for me, so let’s look at last months results. The first month of the quarter is my lowest, followed by the second month and the third one’s the charm as they say.

Ticker Amount (€)
PPL 7.22
IRM 22.56
KMB 3.92
PEP 3.65
HASI 3.84
LEG 9.13
CAH 9.52
O 3.98
CSCO 11.51
FDX 2.47
DIS 1.34
Total €79.14

That is looking mighty fine, but the visuals show my progress in the last three years better than any words could:

And it a nice start towards my 2020 goal of €1500,- in received dividends.

January 2019: €51,25
January 2020: €79,14

A solid 54% growth compared to last January. As always my results are converted from their base currency to euro and are post-tax.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the results of this month and ofcourse of your own results. Please let me know in the comments!

  1. Congrats on the great report! That CSCO payment is nice and I’ve been keeping an eye on that name, hope to start a position soon. That’s an awesome growth rate as well! Keep it going.

    1. I’ve boosted my Cisco position with additional purchases so I’m pretty happy with it. It’s not true digit growth but I think those days are over now in year three 🙂

  2. Nice start of the year Mr. Robot! It seems that your first month of the quarter is catching up to the later months already 🙂
I can see that you received dividends from some companies that were in my watchlist some time ago but I didn’t purchase any shares of them yet – FDX & LEG.
We are sharing dividends only from CSCO & O but the list will be joined by DIS next time they pay their dividend 🙂

    1. I saw the DIS purchase on your blogpost, honored to have you as a fellow shareholder. That company will be costing you a lot in the future so might as well get some dividends back! 🙂

      1. Haha, I haven’t thought about that but you are probably right! It would be nice to visit Disneyland with our daughter one day. I would need to a lot of shares to cover it with dividends, though 😀

  3. That’s a nice 54% increase Mr. Robot! Just imagine that being every year 😉
My January dividend was roughly the same as last year due to some shifting in my portfolio. No money lost, it will just come back in other months.

    1. It’s a heck of a lot more then my salary increase I can tell you that! It will be hard to keep getting these kind of growth figures as the portfolio grows. But I’ll do my best!

  4. Excellent progress as usual, Mr. Robot. 50%+ YoY growth is terrific.
We shared 4 dividend payers in January.
I got off to a good start for the year as well. Let’s hope we can maintain the momentum as 2020 unfolds.
