The new year started of with a bang and the first month has flown by. As you may have read in my previous post, I started the year with a nice deployment of capital. Initiating positions in the financial sector I added some more balance to my portfolio. Next to spending money, I also received money in the form of sweet dividends.
No less then 10 companies paid me in the past month, including newcomer Legget & Platt (LEG).
Ticker | Amount (€) |
PPL | 7.03 |
IRM | 17.32 |
KMB | 3.73 |
PEP | 3.44 |
DIS | 1.3 |
HASI | 3.66 |
LEG | 4.52 |
CAH | 4.96 |
O | 3.79 |
CSCO | 2.46 |
€52,21 |
Ladies and gentlemen, I broke the €50 mark for the first time! That is so friggin’ awesome! Bonuspoints for you if you know from which movie the following screenshot is from:
My dividend visuals look more and more appealing:
And I’m actively working towards my new dividend goal for 2019 (€650):
Total dividend 2019: €52,21
Total dividend received ever: €485,29
And now….the big moment, my YoY-comparison!
January 2018: €8,92
January 2019: €52,21
Thats another amazing increase of 585,31% compared to last year! As always my results are converted from their base currency to euro and are post-tax.
I’ll be off binge-commenting on your blogs now, I would love to hear your thoughts on your month (or mine)?
Wow, what a superb month! Congrats for breaking the EUR 50 mark. You must have worked so hard for such a YOY knock-out. We share IRM (great!) and as of today I initiated a position in DIS (promising!). Enjoy reading your blog!

Wow, Mr. Robot. You set a record in what typically is the month with your lowest dividend totals. Impressive!
How many January dividend payers did you add over the course of 2018?
With this kind of strong start, 2019 should be a banner year for you.
That IRM dividend is standing out, too. I am happy to say I share PEP, CAH, and O with you this month.
Keep up your outstanding efforts.

I added to CAH, initiated in IRM and LEG so that helped tip over the total amount in the first month of the quarter. With my latest buys I evened out all the months in a quarter.

Congrats on a great month and a new record Mr. Robot! And the YoY growth isa amazing. We were in similar positions last year during January but you really crushed it with the growth rate 🙂
I am sharing dividends from O and CSCO with you this month.
Keep up the great work and it looks like you will easily reach that goal of €650 🙂

Thanks a lot BI! It means a lot. I know you will catch up with me in no time. I’m not too sure abou reaching it easily since I only recently crossed that mark in forward income. But with some buys right before ex dividend in the coming months I should be able to make it.

Well done, Mr. Robot!
Starting the year with a 585% YOY gain is just fabulous.
I also like how you presented the dividend visuals. Looks beautiful.
P.S. the screenshot is from the movie “True Romance”, screenplay by Q. Tarantino 🙂

Thanks MDD! It is still relatively easy to get these growth figures, it will be a whole different ballgame in the coming years.

Nice going Mr Robot! Always nice to be passing a round number 🙂
By the way, are you actively trying to average each month’s dividend to be somewhat equal?

You got me Mr. Groeigeld, that is exactly what I’ve been doing lately. To a certain extent ofcourse because I don’t want to miss out on the right buy just because it pays in the “wrong” month according to my wishes.
I noticed a big gap between my largest payout month (second of the quarter) and the other two months. So I decided to see if I could balance the months some more while diversifying into new sectors. It actually worked out pretty well.
Well spotted my friend! 🙂
